A great source of pride for the Rio Grande Fire Company is the 1950 Mack Pumper. This truck was the first new piece of apparatus purchased for the Fire Company. It served faithfully until 1990. In 1991 the truck was retired from service and refurbished with donations raised by the Fire Company and Ladies Auxiliary. Since then the truck has served parade duty winning many awards including Best in its Category at the New Jersey State Firemen's Convention Parade in Wildwood.
